With the 2012 Summer Olympics in London right round the corner, we figured it was about time that pop music had a similar competition. So, four of our greatest pop-producing countries—The United States, Great Britain, Canada, and South Korea—will be squaring off on Popdust over the next two weeks in the first-ever Pop Olympics. Before the Games can begin, though, we need your help deciding which artists will be the representative competitors for their respective countries. We will have four separate polls, one for each of our select nations, in which you can vote from among four competitors each, the winners of whom will advance from the Trials to the actual Games next week.

Making Alberta rock since 1995, the band has been responsible for more than one karaoke power ballad and fight song, and continues to be a worthy topic of conversation for even the most curmudgeonly of professional sports fans.
