Info Post

In a year of some very delectable and very unexpected first-timer crossover hits, perhaps it’s not quite so surprising to see Cher Lloyd making inroads to the Top 40 as it might have been three or four years ago. Still, it’s fun to see Lloyd climbing the charts with “Want U Back,” certainly one of the catchiest, cockiest, most fun pop songs of the year, up to #16 on the Hot 100 this week and doing so well that it needs an official remix. Always available and willing to help is Snoop Dogg—and we know how much he loves his British pop ladies—who hops on the remix for some much-appreciated stateside support.

Not too much to the guest verse here—Snoop’s most memorable line is his first, “I was trying to do what you say / I flew to the UK / But you said my game was fake like a toupee,” and he’s out before he has a chance to do much else of note. But he’s always a welcome presence, and he fits right in with the song’s bouncy feel. “I know that this is the truth / but you never find another like Snoop.” We can buy that.
