Say it loud, say it proud, Nick Jonas. While the Idol wagons continue to circle a seemingly endless array of prospective judges—Brad Paisley! Adam Lambert! Nardwuar the Human Serviette!—with only quasi-anonymous sources actually saying anything about anything, one guy presumably in the running is not afraid to unabashedly throw his hat into the ring. Nick Jonas, who would be the youngest Idol judge ever by about 55 years, tweeted yesterday to confirm that discussions with his name in them were indeed going down.
The rumors are true… I am being considered to be a judge on American Idol, and it would be a dream come true if it happens.

We’re not sure what advantages Nick has over the likes of Pharrell and Paisley and other more experienced judges—well, judges who can legally go out for drinks after rehearsals, anyway—but we appreciate that Jonas at least isn’t playing Too Cool for School or anything. Plus, well, shit guys, you see the hashtag. Time for the movement to get started.
