Info Post

Hey Justin: Sweaters are the way to Selena’s heart. Okay, not really, but the starlet does love her some cuddly knits. Selena, who covers the new issue of Teen Vogue, revealed in an accompanying article and behind-the-scenes video that her off-duty style is extremely relaxed (“I’m usually in jeans [and a] T-shirt, really casual”) and that a sweater is her favorite item of clothing (“I just love that cozy feeling [and wearing] baggy ones. You can dress them up or down.”)

That being said, the wardrobe for the Malibu cover shoot was like, right up her alley. The look was easy and beachy featuring yes, lots of sweaters, paired with pretty bralets, shorts and jewelry from the star’s own line, Dream Out Loud.

As writer Jane Keltner de Valle points out in the article, Selena is at that awkward “not a girl, not yet a woman” stage in her career. And though the former Disney princess wants a more adult image, she’s not going the Britney Spears route. Instead of freaking out, shaving her head, and having a few kids, Selena is pursuing more mature movie roles, working on another album, and running her own affordable fashion line. She’s only twenty, so there’s plenty of time for her to still have some sort of meltdown.
